As I look out my window right now, the buds are bursting with life and there's a whole lot of "Photosynthesis" going on! That just happens to be the name of this week's track from "The Clarke Hall Sessions". It's a tune I've recorded previously on my "Underneath" record but I wanted to capture it live on "The Clarke Hall Sessions" and take it further down a Jazz path with the wonderful saxophone playing of Sean O'Connor. Co-written with the talented Debra Alexander, it's a song that reminds us of how we bring different elements to a relationship, discovering our own chemistry and providing the fuel to help us grow in the process. LYRICS
A little rain a little sun
Is all a flower needs
A little pain a little love
Keeps changing you and me
We’ve got our own photosynthesis, it’s a natural thing we do
You keep growing on me I keep growing on you
A little time a little space
A blossom comes alive
A little give a little take
That’s how our love survives cause
We’ve got our own photosynthesis, it’s a natural thing we do
You keep growing on me and I’ll keep growing on you
Through every dark night we can hold on
Wake up to the light
Shining on this garden we have grown
We’ve got our own photosynthesis, it’s a natural thing we do
You keep growing on me and I’ll keep growing on you
You keep growing on me and I’ll keep growing on you
