MUSIC, NATURE & JOY

DAVID LEASK

Hello folks,

How are you doing?  We’re getting ready for winter here in the hills of Quebec, where winter tires are compulsory and firewood is our new best friend. I’ve always felt something magical about winter though, something in the seasonal shift. Maybe it’s the sonic change with the soft powdered snow around you that brings you closer to nature, and the driveway that needs to be shovelled!  Anyway, I’m trying to see the positives in the things that life keeps throwing my way.

A JUBILANT EVENING OF SONGS & STORIES
Speaking of positivity, I’m delighted to be joining forces with the talented Jacob Moon and Ali Matthews for a jubilant evening of songs and stories in Toronto on November 30th.  The evening will be presented by a wonderful charity called Mary’s Meals and is in support of children around the world.  Check out the details below and you’ll find more information about this and other upcoming gigs on my website.

GOING UNDERNEATH - TEN YEARS ON
For those of you who may not have seen it on social media, I recently spent some time celebrating the 10 year “Albumversary” of Underneath.  Hard to believe I know, but if you want to walk down the backroads of that record, you can find all the original song blogs featuring stories behind the writing and recording of each song and listen to the tracks here.

ALBUM UPDATE
The new songs are still coming through so it feels like there may be a few more things to be added to my new record and it may need to bake in the oven for a bit longer.  I hope you’ll bear with me until it feels perfectly done. In the meantime, thanks for still reading and listening, coming to the gigs and supporting my music.

Peace,
David
